| The United States Of America was
founded in reaction to oppression. The Founders' first-hand experiences
situation forced
them to envision a new nation wherein freedom would be natural and
guaranteed to all men. |
| The Founders of The United States
Of America were stoic men of principle. They analyzed, discussed,
wrote, debated, and reasoned for years. They struggled to develop a
plan that would allow all Americans to prosper and live free. They
knew that they had to convince many people, some who were afraid,
some who were uninvolved, and some who were simply ignorant, of the
benefits of living free. The Founders needed to present a solidly
constructed structure to the people or it would not be accepted. |
| The Founders used all means of
communication available during the late 18th century. The Founders
wrote private and public letters, pamphlets, newspaper articles, and
books. There developed compilations of debated writings such as the
Federalist Papers. The Declaration of Independence and US
Constitution resulted from years of writing and debate. |
| The Founders created more than a
nation. They created a large coherent body of written principles,
ideas, thoughts, concepts, and plans. They built upon the rich
history of what was to become The United States Of America. The
over-two-hundred years of America's existence have added to those
bodies of work. Through war and peace, through prosperous times and
times of economic struggle, Americans have created a history filled
with experience and documentation of that experience. |
